I was lucky enough to be treated to a few days away in the Lake District last week from Alex for our 5 year anniversary.
Another Place, The Lake is a family run boutique hotel set in Ullswater, Cumbria.
This hotel is a white Georgian building with a new sister building attached, built in local stone. Combining the raw history and modern elegance in a setting that is just to die for. It is set in quintessential English countryside, with rolling hills and oak trees overlooking the lake.
The hotel enables you to feel surrounded by nature whilst sitting in luxe comfort. Another Place is perfect for your outdoor adventure holidays. Offering lake/boat activities, dog friendly rooms and on the door step to a ridiculous amount of hikes/cycle routes.
The food here is one for the foodies. From breakfast, where you can make your own waffles, to the main restaurant (Rampsbeck) where they focus on 3 course Cumbrian cuisine .
Now, the spa, this is something special. The 20m long pool has panoramic views of the lake and rolling hills. With an outside hot tub and sauna you can be in here for hours!
So here is what Alex and I got up too…
Arriving to this stunning interior throughout the hotel, we were spoilt for choice where to sit to enjoy the view.

The first night we ate in The Living Room, a casual space for all.

Breakfast

After breakfast we walked along the lakeside and up into the hills to get a view of the valley.

And yes, I’d have loved to have got out on the lake and paddled however the winds were too strong. There’s always next time…
After getting absolutely soaked in the great British weather, we thought it best to have afternoon tea and head to the spa.

For the second night we dined in the Rampsbeck restaurant. A stunning venue with even better food.

The two nights spent here, were blissful. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. If you are an outdoor adventurer, spa goer or a foodie. It has everything.
Thank you Another Place, The Lake for an amazing stay. I guarantee we will be back in the near future.
