After touring around the West Coast of America, Alex and I flew North, sticking to the West Coast to Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Vancouver has a special place in my heart. This was my second visit here and I loved it just as much as my first.
This British Columbian city is been ranked in the top 5 most livably cities in the world for some years now and I couldn’t agree more. The city is completely cosmopolitan and yet caters heavily for the outdoor enthusiasts among us.
If you’re planning a North American trip I can’t recommend going here enough.
There is an abundance to do in and around the city. So here is a small list of my recommend things to do and see;
- Cycling around Stanley Park
- City beaches
- Picnic anywhere
- University of British Columbia Campus
- Granville Island
- Mountain climbing
- Mountain biking – many locations but recommended, Whistler (summer months)
- Skiing – many locations but recommended, Whistler (winter months)
- Water sports – False Creek
- Hiking/running up the grouse grind – Grouse Mountain
- Capalino suspension bridge
- shopping down Granville street
