Today, was like a breath of fresh air and I just had to share it.
We left the hustle and bustle of Weligama and traveled to Ella, a small town in the centre of Hill country, Badulla District, famous for its views and tea plantations. In Ella there are only 2 major streets, both lined with restaurants, packed with tuk tuks and hit with the occasional influx of backpacking tourists with each train arrival.
Alex and I bumped into some friends from a previous guest house, grabbed a coffee and decided to hike up ‘Little Adam’s Peak’ for sunset.
We followed the path out of town to get into the surrounding countryside. It wasn’t long before it was quiet, surrounded by views, locals and tea plantations;
