Ok, so Bath has to one of my favourite places in the UK. Alex and I decided not to go abroad for our holiday and take a trip to places we have never been in the UK. We (fellow Brits) always over look places in England as holiday destinations and feel like we need to go overseas to find some idilic locations.
Well, apart from there being no 25 degree constant temperature. Bath had a lot to offer us.
We stayed in a gorgeous AirBnB just 15 minute walk from the centre. It was a lovely apartment in a typical Georgian style townhouse.
AirBnB
We had walked a lot that day in the Cotswolds and got to the apartment pretty late. Nonetheless, we managed to wander into town, devour some food at Jamies Italian and then grabbed an early night ahead of our jam-packed day ahead.
Off bright and early the next day, we headed to see the sights;
The Circus

The Royal Crescent

Pulteney Bridge
Botanical Gardens

Bath Abbey

Thermae Bath Spa

The architecture in Bath, was just something else. Every corner I turned I was stunned with how beautiful it all was. Not a scruffy building in sight! After we walked, probably as much as we hiked the day before, we hit the spa!
Thermae Bath Spa is a must – it is Britain’s only natural thermal waters, with incredible views and gorgeous facilities. This was the perfect place to unwind. Unfortunately, no cameras were permitted inside, but this added to its relaxing atmosphere. The basic package offers a 2 hour slot to use the rooftop pool, wellness suite and Minerva Bath.
Thrown in with the sight seeing were some inevitable cafe stops. Society Cafe, bright and airy providing us with a great coffee break with a tremendous variety of cakes.
I have a ridiculously sharp sweet tooth (as many of you are aware) and managed to sniff out the Fugde Kitchen. Freshly made in store, spoilt for flavours, with an authentic feel…I was not disappointed!

I literally loved Bath, go and visit for yourself, I am sure you will agree!
